Zerak builds and looks after websites, online shops and business systems for companies in Abu Dhabi, in Arabic and English, on one monthly price: USD 34.95 a month, all in, with a 12-month minimum. That covers design, copywriting, hosting, security patches, uptime monitoring and small changes every month. The site is yours outright after two years, or you can take it after the first year for a one-off USD 150 — and the domain is registered in your name from day one.
Be clear about one thing before you read further: Zerak works remotely with businesses in Abu Dhabi. There is no Abu Dhabi office, no UAE trade licence and no local address. Everything runs through a scheduled call, WhatsApp for day-to-day questions, and a live preview link you can share with your team. If your buying process requires someone to sit in your meeting room, a local studio is the better fit, and you should stop here. If it does not, you get price transparency, Arabic and English in the same build, and a site that keeps running after launch instead of going quiet.

What is wrong with most Abu Dhabi business websites?
Most of them are slow, English-only, and hard to contact from a phone. That is not an opinion — Zerak checked. The State of Gulf Business Websites 2026 study, published by Zerak in September 2026, pulled 2,399 businesses from Google Maps across 10 everyday sectors (restaurants, dental clinics, real estate agencies, car rental, beauty salons, furniture stores, law firms, travel agencies, interior design companies and abaya shops) in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha and Kuwait City, then opened and checked every website listed — 1,232 unique sites. The full method and results are at State of Gulf Business Websites 2026.
Across the whole sample:
| What we checked | Result |
|---|---|
| Businesses showing no website on their Google Maps listing | 38% (Dubai 60%) |
| Listed website links that are broken | 1 in 9 — about half are domains that no longer exist |
| Working sites with no Arabic version | 51% (Dubai 70%, Riyadh 26%) |
| Homepages with no WhatsApp link | 58% |
| Homepages with no tap-to-call number | 46% |
| Sites with no business schema markup | 62% |
| Sites with no meta description | 31% |
| Sites showing a copyright year of 2024 or older | 16% |
| Sites running on WordPress | 42% |
Mobile speed was measured separately with Google PageSpeed Insights on a random sample of 384 working sites: median performance score 60 out of 100, 22% scoring under 50, and only 8% reaching 90 or above. Median Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) — the time before the main content appears — was 6.1 seconds. 68% took over 4 seconds. Only 13% came in under Google's 2.5-second "good" threshold for that Core Web Vitals metric.
Abu Dhabi businesses were included in the sample, but the published city splits are Dubai, Riyadh and the overall figures. We have not published an Abu Dhabi-only breakdown and will not invent one. City-by-city and sector-by-sector breakdowns are available on request from hello@zerak.io.
What this means commercially is simple. If the firms you compete with in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah have sites that load in six seconds, carry no Arabic version and offer no WhatsApp button, then a site that fixes those three things wins enquiries from people who are already searching. You do not need to out-design anyone. You need to out-function them.
What do you get for USD 34.95 a month?
Everything needed to have a working website, with nothing billed separately. The plan includes:
- Design, copywriting and structure — built for your business, not a template
- A dashboard so you can edit the site yourself
- Hosting, backups and security patches
- Uptime monitoring
- Small changes every month, requested through your console
- Search and social setup
Ownership, stated plainly. The minimum term is 12 months. The site is yours outright after two years, or you can take it after the first year for a one-off USD 150. You keep your domain and your content, registered in your name from day one. This is the objection that kills most monthly-plan deals, so it is answered before you ask: you are not renting your own business. More on why that matters in your website should not be a hostage.
How this differs from the usual quote. In this market a website is normally quoted as one large upfront build fee, with hosting, changes and support billed afterwards or simply not offered. Prices vary widely and we will not guess at anyone else's. What drives the number is consistent: how many pages, whether the content is bilingual, how much custom functionality sits behind the pages, and — the part most quotes leave out — whether anyone maintains the site once it is live.
Online shops are a separate plan: Shop at USD 32 a month and Shop Plus at USD 59 a month, both all in with a 12-month minimum and no setup fee. See online shops on our own store engine. Web apps and business systems are scoped and quoted as one fixed price before anything starts — no hourly billing. Details at websites, web apps and business systems.
Can you build my website in both Arabic and English?
Yes — both languages in the same build, not an afterthought. Abu Dhabi has a bilingual customer base, and government and corporate buyers expect Arabic. Yet 51% of working Gulf business sites in our 2026 study had no Arabic version at all.
Bilingual at Zerak means specifically:
- Arabic copy written by a person, not run through machine translation
- Correct right-to-left (RTL) layout, not a mirrored English design
- Separate Arabic URLs rather than a language toggle that hides the content from search engines
- hreflang tags so the Arabic and English versions do not compete against each other in Google
- SEO done in both languages, with keywords researched in Arabic rather than translated from English
Zerak's own site runs exactly this way — the Arabic version is live at zerak.io/ar. The commercial upside: there is very little Arabic-language competition in search for most Abu Dhabi service categories. The Arabic half of the site is usually the cheaper traffic to win.
How does a project run when we are not in the room?
In four steps, with the written scope agreed before anything is built.
- A free half-hour call. What you sell, who buys it, what the site has to do.
- A written fixed scope. What gets built, what it costs, when it lands. You approve it before work starts.
- A live preview link from the first week. A real URL you can open on your phone and send to your team, updated as the build progresses.
- Domain and data in your name from day one, plus training on the dashboard so you can make edits yourself.
We do not quote a delivery time in days or weeks. The date comes from the scope, in writing, for your project.
What replaces the office visit: scheduled calls, WhatsApp for day-to-day questions, the preview link, and a console where you request changes and see your bookings, enquiries and SEO results in one place. Ed Kamel, founder of Zerak and Wieldy, does the work and takes your messages — you deal with the person building the site, not an account handler passing notes along. The full sequence is at how we run a project from first call to launch.
Can you redesign my existing site without losing my Google rankings?
Yes, and there are two routes. Zerak can take over and look after the site you already have — hosting, domain and access all moved into your name — or rebuild it, keeping your content and rankings, with old links redirected to the new pages. For shops, products import from Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla or Zid, and old product URLs redirect to their replacements.
This matters more than it sounds. We once opened a client site and found 1,370 spam posts sitting inside it. That is the same neglect the study measured from the outside: 1 in 9 listed website links was broken, and about half of those were domains that no longer exist. Somebody stopped paying for something and nobody noticed. Neglected sites are the norm in this market, not the exception.
If you already have a site and want a read on its condition before committing to anything, the free website audit at seo.zerak.io is the no-obligation first step.
Do I need SEO as well as a website to get found in Abu Dhabi?
A website makes you findable when someone searches your name. SEO is what gets you found by people who do not know you yet. They are separate services at Zerak and SEO is never implied as free — it is sold at seo.zerak.io on these plans:
| Plan | Price | Setup | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO Monitor | USD 299/month (3-month minimum) | USD 290 | 1 article a month |
| SEO Growth | USD 599/month | USD 390 | 4 articles a month, Google Business Profile, 30 keywords |
| SEO Authority | USD 1,499/month | USD 490 | 8 articles a month, 3–5 backlinks a month, Arabic and English, 60 keywords |
| AI Search Visibility | USD 390/month | — | Sold on its own or alongside a plan |
Zerak website clients get 20% off every SEO plan. Prices reviewed September 2026.
Every plan includes weekly AI search tracking. We check whether your business is named when people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews the questions your customers ask — and, when it is not, which company is named instead. Articles are written so those assistants can quote them.
The Abu Dhabi-specific point is the Google Business Profile. For local service queries the Maps listing often decides the enquiry before anyone reaches a website. In our 2026 study, 38% of listed businesses had no website linked from their Maps listing at all — which means the listing itself was doing all the selling, usually badly.
Who are the best web design companies in Abu Dhabi for a small business?
There is no single answer, and anyone who names themselves is selling. Judge on three things the portfolio pages do not tell you:
- What it costs, in writing, before the call. If the price only appears after a discovery meeting, it varies by who is asking.
- What happens after launch. Ask who hosts it, who patches it, who makes a change in month seven, and what that costs.
- Who owns the domain and the code. Ask to see the registrar account in your name.
A local Abu Dhabi studio with an office suits you better if you want face-to-face meetings, need a supplier with a UAE trade licence for procurement reasons, or are commissioning a large brand project with multiple stakeholders. Zerak suits you better if you want a published price, Arabic and English handled by the same team, and a site someone keeps running afterwards.
Work we have done
- Golden Gulf — VIP airport and chauffeur service in Cairo. Tourism and car rental.
- Best Egypt Holidays — a Dubai-registered tour operator, rebuilt from scratch on a new domain after the old site was hacked. Worth saying honestly: the old domain and its rankings were not carried over.
- Fit Oat — high-protein oats, Egypt.
Maison Mirath, a luxury abaya shop built for the Gulf market, is one of the demo shops at zerak.io/shops — relevant if you run an abaya or fashion label in Abu Dhabi. Zerak also builds Wieldy, its own agency management software, which is the evidence that this team builds working applications and not only brochure sites.
We do not publish traffic uplifts, client counts, star ratings or testimonials. When there are real ones to publish, they will appear here.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have an office in Abu Dhabi?
No. Zerak works remotely with businesses in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the wider Gulf and Egypt. There is no UAE office, address or trade licence. Projects run on scheduled calls, WhatsApp, a live preview link from the first week, and a console where you request changes and see enquiries. If you need in-person meetings, a local studio is the right choice.
What happens if I want to stop after the first year?
The minimum term is 12 months. After the first year you can take the site with a one-off payment of USD 150 and leave. After two years the site is yours outright at no extra cost. Your domain and content are registered in your name from day one, so nothing is held back in either case.
Who owns the website and the domain?
You do. The domain is registered in your name from day one, along with your content and your data. The site itself becomes yours outright after two years on the plan, or after the first year for a one-off USD 150. Nothing is locked to Zerak's accounts at any stage.
Can you build in Arabic as well as English?
Yes. Arabic copy is written rather than machine-translated, with correct RTL layout, separate Arabic URLs and hreflang tags so the two versions do not compete in search. SEO is done in both languages. Zerak's own site runs this way at zerak.io/ar. In our 2026 study, 51% of working Gulf business sites had no Arabic version at all.
Do you build online shops, and how do customers pay?
Yes — Shop at USD 32 a month and Shop Plus at USD 59 a month, both all in with a 12-month minimum. Cash on delivery is built in. For Egypt, Paymob cards and wallets, Fawry and InstaPay are built in. For Gulf shops, payment options are agreed per shop during scoping rather than assumed.
How much does a website cost in Abu Dhabi?
Zerak's price is USD 34.95 a month, all in, with a 12-month minimum — design, hosting, security, monitoring and monthly changes included. Market prices in Abu Dhabi vary widely and depend on page count, whether content is written in both Arabic and English, how much custom functionality is needed, and whether anyone maintains the site after launch.
