The situation
An established Egypt tour operator whose WordPress site had been broken into. We found roughly 1,370 spam posts injected across it — casino and adult content in fifteen languages — burying the real content.
What we built
- Salvaged 19 real tours and 44 itinerary days from the compromised site
- Rebuilt on infrastructure with no plugin surface to attack
- Rewrote the tour content properly rather than copying it across
- Dashboard so they add and price tours themselves
- A fresh start on a new domain, bestegyptholidays.com, carrying over only the clean content
Priced the way the business sells
Tours are sold per person, and the price drops as the group grows. Each tour page shows the per-person price for every group size, and the booking form works out the total as the customer chooses how many are travelling.
Run by the owner
Tours, itineraries and group prices are edited in a dashboard. The owner also sees which past customers are due a review request, with the message ready to send.
Search after launch
Best Egypt is the first client on Zerak's SEO engine: keyword research around how tourists plan an Egypt trip, new pages drafted for the owner to approve before they go live, and every new page announced to search engines the day it is published.
How it is built
Astro pages served from Cloudflare's network, with a small database for the content the owner edits and every enquiry. There are no plugins to patch, and each page loads from a server close to the visitor.
Where it stands
Clean rebuild on a new domain, with the client in control of their own tour listings.
